Event Details

TF4GBD is a unique intermingling of business people, designers, builders, contractors and suppliers to discuss issues in the "Green Building" sector. Our mission is to support communication between local area businesses and the green building design, engineering and construction sectors. We are also proud of the spin off benefits to our attendees. Our event has  become a premier networking opportunity. New connections and opportunities abound at every TF4GBD.

Game-Changing Building Tech will inform you about the most effective building technological solutions being used today and you will learn about what is coming out onto the market tomorrow. The upcoming TF4GBD event will feature the following industry leaders:

    R. Wayne Proulx, President, e3 Sustainable World Solutions works on delivering conservation and sustainability solutions to the real world. Wayne has over 30 years experience in the real estate industry, and was recently the Director of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Greater Toronto’s Conservation & Demand Management (CDM) Program.

Dan Courtney, Guardian Sunguard Architectural Glass will be talking about advanced glazing systems technologies that will turn windows in heating climates to net energy suppliers.

Lloyd Helferty, works as an Advisory Committee Member at International Biochar Initiative, a Steering Committee Member at Canadian Biochar Initiative, a Co-ordinator at Thornhill Solar Initiative, and as Co-founder at Biochar-Ontario. The New York Times is calling it a 'major tool' for cutting carbon and he will be telling us how this carbon-negative technology can be used in green buildings.

Mario Kani, Principal of Sustainable Edge Ltd. is one of the foremost experts in green building. Throughout his 30-year career Mario has worked on the design of low-energy buildings addressing efficient and durable envelope design, alternative mechanical technologies and sustainable building and community systems. Come and find out what building technologies are in his toolbox when consulting on green building projects.

Sandra Lester CEO and Principal of Affecting Change Inc will be moderating the evening's discussion.
